B A C K G R O U ND
Tamaki's birth was the result of a glorious romance. His father was a rich Japanese wizard, his mother a beautiful French Muggle; unfortunately, his father's mother did not approve of the union and refused to acknowlege Tamaki or his mother. Because of his mother's poor health, she and Tamaki lived in France for most of their lives. However, her family was slowly slipping into poverty around the same time that Tamaki began to show his magical abilities. Because there was no other heir to the Suou name, Tamaki's grandmother finally relented. She said that she would fund the mother's family in exchange for Tamaki going to Hogwarts and never seeing his mother again. Not wanting her to suffer, he agreed with a smile on his face.

Tamaki is eccentric and often acts without thinking about the consequences. He is fascinated with the wizarding world to an almost obsessive extent. Charming, with a strong sense of justice, he often describes himself as a 'Prince type'. He genuinely feels affection and admiration towards all women, and whatever compliment he says, he means with all his heart. However, his somewhat sheltered life among high society has made him naive and childish; a trait which has been described as anything from 'endearing' to 'irritating'. Despite being school smart and diligent in his studies, he is really useless when it comes to anything practical.

Host Club Members

Yamino Ryusuke, 1st Year Hufflepuff
Tamaki finds Yamino kind and pure- perfect Host material. Yamino also was the one who gave him his miniature version of Kuma-chan (which he refuses to believe isn't the original).

Takeru Takashi, 1st Year Hufflepuff
Tamaki hasn't had much chance to talk to this member yet, but wants to help the boy open up a little.

Zuko, 4th Year Ravenclaw
A charmingly awkward young man, who Tamaki finds adorable. He doesn't know Zuko all that well yet, but he hopes to change that shortly!

Misa Amane, 5th Year Hufflepuff (Seamstress)
Currently the only female member of the Host Club, and even then she just makes the clothes. However, her ability to make Tamaki's grand designs work has to say something about her.

Krad Mousy, 5th Year Slytherin
Originally offered to join the Host Club in return for either money or his twin's membership. Tamaki pays little attention to his 'personal space' rules.

Dark Mousy, 5th Year Slytherin
Krad's twin brother, who Tamaki knows very little about.

Tooru Kouno, 5th Year Gryffindor
As one of Haruhi's best friends, Tooru originally didn't care much for Tamaki butting in on everything. Recently, though, he's started to warm up to him, and decided to make a stronger effort to be social. He was the first to actually volunteer to join the Host Club without any prodding.

Kyouya Ootori, 6th Year Slytherin- MOM~ <3
Tamaki's BEST FRIEND who he met during Easter, and who subsequently saved him from peep molestation. He has attain the status of Buddha in Tamaki's eyes, but that doesn't mean he's blind to how manipulative Kyouya is. After a rather... violent trip to Hogsmeade, Kyouya seems to actually agree that he is Tamaki's friend now. And for the last time, NO- he is not in love with him.

Fakir, 6th Year Slytherin
A new member of the Host Club- although in name only, since he refuses to show up for meetings. Tamaki has taken it upon himself to make a gentleman out of Fakir, who insists that he doesn't want his help. In reality, Tamaki is just trying to be a good friend.

Takashi Morinozuka, 7th Year Hufflepuff
After meeting him during Canon Days, Tamaki felt it was fate for Mori to become his friend and join the Host Club. While Mori seems somewhat reluctant, he's playing along for now.

Howell Jenkins (Howl), 7th Year Ravenclaw
Howl is a great deal like Tamaki- gentlemanly, charming, blonde hair- and Tamaki sees him as something like a kindred spirit. Howl also seems to be the most eager for the Host Club to start, a great encouragement. - GRADUATED

Kururugi Suzaku, 7th Year Gryffindor
Another boy who was roped into the joining the club through persistance and persuasion; Tamaki thinks Suzaku has more charm than he gives himself credit for. He finds Suzaku absolutely adorable, and was the first member to be called 'son'.

Charming Young Women

Azula, 2nd Year Slytherin
The sister of Zuko, a member of the Host Club. Tamaki finds her confusing- surely she can't mean all the terrible things she says!

Fuu Kasumi, 5th Year Gryffindor
His co-commentator for the Quidditch games, Tamaki looks forward to working with this strong-willed woman, though he doesn't know much about her.

Sophie Hatter, 5th Year Hufflepuff
To Sophie, Tamaki is a purple eyed version of Howl- a fact which would no doubt please him if he ever became aware of it.

Haruhi Fujioka, 5th Year Gryffindor
His precious 'daughter'- or at least, he thought she was during the Canon Days. It's a notion that has stuck with him ever since, and he secretly wishes he knew a way to get her into the Host Club. She is definitely unlike any other girl he's known, as her complete lack of interest in her own appearence emphasizes.

Renge Hoshakuji, 5th Year Gryffindor
The first girl to ever hit Tamaki- and to make him lose his temper. The reason? She insists that he and Kyouya are in love. His vehement denials have only encouraged her, but after an event that caused everyone's thoughts to become known... Tamaki can't find it in his heart to yell at her anymore.

Lilie Vergolden, 6th Year Ravenclaw
He thinks she is just trying to warn him and help him with her overly dramatic tales of woe. She thinks he's her plaything.

Tohru Honda, 6th Year Hufflepuff
A sweet and artistic girl, who has similar mother problems. This results in her unknowingly poking at certain things Tamaki would rather not think about. He has agreed to model for her whenever she so wishes. She told him that she had a crush on him, and he will never forgive himself completely for making her cry.

Colette Brunel, 6th Year Hufflepuff
An honestly sweet girl, who was one of the first to visit the Host Club. He finds her adorable, like a kitten, and her loyalty to her muggle friends admirable.

Rukia Kuchiki, 6th Year Ravenclaw
After being told that his charm didn't work on her, Tamaki has begun to walk on eggshells with what he says around her. Rukia regrets ever mentioning it to him. Thanks to a shared love of sparkles, though, he's started to relax again.

Rue, 6th Year Slytherin
Tamaki's naivity and open-heart has intruiged Rue, and he finds her to be one of the more fascinating women around the school as well. That doesn't mean her insults don't still sting.

Others, a.k.a. The Males

Hikaru Hitachiin, 5th Year Gryffindor
Tamaki's #1 priority to get into the Host Club, along with his brother Kaoru. Instead of discouraging him with his stubborn refusals, however, Tamaki has only become more determined. However, after Canon Days, he doesn't seem quite as dead-set against it as before.

Yuujirou Shihoudani, 5th Year Slytherin
As one of the men who has expressed interested in visiting the Host Club, Tamaki treats him like he would any customer- with utmost charm and courteousy. He has also tried to get Yuujirou to help him rope Hikaru and Kaoru into the Host Club, with some degree of success. Tamaki has begun to think of him as an actual friend instead of just another customer, and actually trusts him.

Luupi, 5th Year Slytherin
Another man who has seemed interested in visiting the Host Club, although Tamaki mistook him for a girl at first. After the initial confusion, they seemed to get along alright.

Daisya Barry, 5th Year Gryffindor
The first male customer of the Host Club- visiting solely out of curiosity, having no idea what the Club was for. Tamaki thinks that Daisya is gay, and treats him like he would a girl. Daisya thinks Tamaki is just really, really friendly.

Shuuya Arisada, 6th Year Slytherin
Despire Arisada clearly trying to become the Host Club's rival with his own Princess Club, he has been nothing but polite and friendly. Tamaki doesn't see his true motives, and continues to devulge information about his club to Arisada whenever he asks.
